Everywhere we go, in every magazine we read and every other sponsored ad on instagram we are bombarded with 'detoxing' - From the Kardashians advertising Skinny Tea's to slimming tablet adverts on the tube. But these are often showing quick and dangerous alternatives to healthy dieting. Deliveroo want to encourage people to see food as something that should always be a positive aspect of life.
Deliveroo has undoubtedly changed the way we eat, giving varieties of choice. Their unique business model has given it a platform to promote more healthy and balanced choices and give customers access to quick and nutritious food at their fingertips.
Many people, especially that work long hours opt for ordering a takeaway when they get home rather than cooking themselves something, however most options of takeaways are genuinely stereotypically considered as greasy pizza's and kebab's. The words 'healthy' and 'takeaway' aren't often heard in the same sentence together, however, deliveroo are changing this with a huge range of local, fresh and healthy takeaway options.

I think Deliveroo have been very innovative here, and have spotted a gap in the market for healthy takeaways and snatched it right up! This is not something I've seen competitors JustEat and UberEats do. As part of Gen Z something that has really connected me with the brand is their use of advertising. The high quality images used on physical advertisments, social media and their app show transparency and honesty from the company, the bright visuals really capture my eye! One thing thats so simple but I absolutely love is being able to see images of the food I'm about to eat (guilty for googling pictures of the dishes on Zizzi's menu before I order). The high quality images of salads and burritos used throughout their advertising make these healthy foods seem so much more appealing than just reading the word 'chicken ceaser salad' on the website.
I think this is something that needed to be done! I personally feel like this has started to blur the line between unhealthy dieting culture and the idea that takeaways always have to be unhealty - when they really don't! SO many people have issues with eating so hopefully this can start to end the feeling of guilt when having a takeaway!
