Last weekend I was lucky enough to receive free tickets for Stylist Live - an event I had never been to or heard of! After doing a quick instagram search to see what it was all about I hopped on the train down to London.

We arrived quite late on Sunday afternoon for a mooch around and the event and see what was going on! It was really nice seeing so many brands from Babyliss to Laura Mercier to Instax involved all handing out freebies which, of course, I took advantage of!!

The part of the event I was most excited for was the Catwalk show! I loooove seeing so many people I admire attending Catwalk shows during fashion week shows so I was super excited to experience a little tiny bit of their world!

I queued for an hour in hope to get front row seats for the show and get some great photographs however when it came to being let in it turned out only people with VIP tickets could sit in the front row which was really disappoint because with no tiered seating it was really had to see what was going on! So Instead I went to stand at the end of the catwalk in

hope to get some pictures of the models and not just see the outfits off the screens!

The show covered 5 of the main Autumn/Winter trends for this year - 'Leopard Lover', 'Under Cover', 'Bold Earth', 'Cowgirl Country' and 'This Old Thing'. All the looks were created from high street stores with each trend having 8-10 looks. When we were entering the arena everyone got given a piece of paper with all the items worn on the catwalk and where they were from. Prices of garments worn by the models ranging from £3.99 to £350 so there was a huge range covering lots of different price ranges. Below are some of my favourite pieces from what I feel are the strongest trend stories this season.

The first trend covered was ‘Leopard Lover’ which undoubtedly is one of the biggest trend this season! Leopard print is all over the high street and I really liked seeing how they’d styled these pieces! My fav pieces throughout the looks were defiantly the Helene Berman x Anthropology Leopard Coat which although I would consider pricey for the high street it really did look nice on the runway! The second item I loved was surprisingly this M&S bag which is giving me all the Chloé vibes!

The second trend was ‘Under Cover’. This was defiantly based on more winter clothing with Outerwear being the main theme. I loved the variety of more casual to dressy looks. Puffer jackets will always be a key piece in anyways causal wardrobe in A/W, as well as the classic trench coat which is great for transition Autumn days. Lastly my favourite piece from this trend is the Gingham boilersuit which is slowly making an appearance in everyones wardrobe!!

The third trend was ‘Bold Earth’ this was a super exciting take on the classic 'earthy tones' with beautiful bold colours. A particular favourite of mine was this great Mango Green Wide leg trouser and blazer combo! Such a darish colour but would look great on all skin tones and really fits the bold earth trend. The rust jumper is the complete opposite, such a safe colour but screams autumn and I think it really deserved its place on the catwalk. And I'm so glad chunky trainers got there minute in the spotlight because absolutely everyone is wearing these, and are a trend I don't see dying down any time soon!
